The Rip Curl Dan Heritage Memorial Pro Surfing Event will take place in Atlantic City in front of Taj Mahal on Thursday, September 16 through Sunday, September 19, 2004. This will be the sixth year for the pro surfing event and the first time it will take place in Atlantic City. Sanctioned by the Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP), the event is a Three Star World-Qualifying Series Event for the World Championship Tour.

Also taking place September 16 through September 19, 2004 is the Red Bull half-pipe skate board demonstration on the beach in front of Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort.

Preceding the surfing event will be the Platinum Snowboarding Rail Jam to take place on the steps of the Taj Mahal on the Boardwalk, Tuesday, September 14, 2004. Snow Magic, a snow making company located in New Hampshire will produce the snow.

For the first time, the extreme sports of pro surfing, skate boarding and snow boarding will take place on the beach and Boardwalk in Atlantic City. The optimal waves of hurricane season, the recently completed beach replenishment project and snow in September all make this an event not to be missed.
